Boxes everywhere in the house, and stangely
enough even though half our stuff is in boxes, our house seems messier than ever! :-) There's still quite a lot to pack (no panic, we still have 2 and a half week, and only started packing 5 days
ago!). At the same time, we try to PURGE as much as possible, because we simply have TOO much stuff and even though our new house is bigger than our current one, we'd like to avoid HAVING to move
bigger again in a couple of years! I love throwing away all useless (or ugly) stuff, it feels good!! Some pictures made today:
While packing boxes, we're planning our new house, who gets which rooms, what will be where? That is fun to do, I love it anyway! Richard and I will share an "office" room, which basically means
that one side will be stuffed with computer stuff and the other side with scrap things! Although basically Richards new office should of course be the kitchen :-D I have already drawn a sketch of
my side of the room and went to Ikea yesterday to buy some smaller things in order to get my dream scrapcorner! I bought these cute "table legs" with storage in it:
My little helper (Alban) has helped me measure in the store and my paper boxes can be put in the table legs, isn't that optimum use of space? ;-) I'll of course need a table top, but we hope
to be able to order that one from a friend, which hopefully means nice price! We want one from glass...
About Scooby. Apparently, she doesn't quite get it that something is happening yet, she doesn't show any strange behaviour. Well, maybe she couldn't care less, as long as she gets dinner (and
breakfast and lunch and if possible "gouter" and brunch too!!), but I'm already afraid of the drive there with an agonizing cat in the back of my car! And talking about the drive there... I'll have
to drive 600 km :-O and I actually never did more than 120 km in one day!! I have asked Berengere to come with me (she wanted to spend the weekend we'll move in Figeac anyway!), I'll defenately
feel better with someone to take over if I can't go any further!! I just hope she can stand my singing in the car, I have recently discovered that I ALWAYS sing when I drive! :-O I'll actually try
to drive it all myself, I'll have to do it one day! People might find me strange when they read this... well, maybe I am ;-)
Well, that is about it, still no scrap to show! Most of the stuff is in... boxes, but I did keep some of it out of the box in order to take it with me to our temporary address in September, so that
I can scrap some there. I might actually undo these bags tonight for a little session ;-) Thanks for looking and thanks for comments!
I like the shelves you chose for your scrap space. I wish we had an Ikea in Alabama. I believe there's one in Georgia. I'll have to look around.
Dumb American here... you know we never incorporated the metric system into the public school system and so I'm embarrassed to say that don't know a meter from a mile.
What's the difference of 120 kilometers to miles?
Go USA! LOL!!! :)
